To start out with I would extremely advise a set of crochet headbands. You can get many pieces (online) for colse to $.50 each. Some moms love pink, and some not so much. So, I all the time advise to play it safe and give the new mom a variety of colors incase she gets sick of pink!
All right, no you have some headbands for the little darling, now what? Now, it would be a great time to pick out some flower clips or hair bows. If you get some neutral colors they would match nearly all of the headbands that you buy. Think getting a white, pink, brow, or black flower clip with a lead tested acrylic rhinestone in it. The same colors would also be neutral and match many headbands and outfits with the bows.
Once you have made your selection, you will be able to show the new mom how it can be many, many separate variations. Each flower clip and bow should be on an alligator clip. You are going to open the alligator clip and slip it through the holes of the crochet headband. If you purchase them this way instead of them glued or sewn onto the headband, you get a lot more for your money as you can change it up anyway you want.
For a for real stunning presentation at the baby shower, put the headbands in the bottom of the box above some pink or girly tissue paper. Some paper confetti all the time looks nice too. Then, put all of your selections of flower clips or bows on top except for one flower clip. Keep your beloved flower clip out of the package. Now, wrap up your present all neat and pretty. Get some for real pretty satin or grosgrain ribbon. Tie it colse to the box two times so that they overlap on the bottom. Tape them instead of tying a cute bow like you normally would. Then, flip the box over and on top put the remaining flower clip on top. Just clip it right to the ribbon right in the center. Now, the box is just begging to be opened by the new mom.
Make sure to tell mom that she can wear the items too! A for real chic idea is to clip a cute flower clip to a diaper bag to dress it up a bit as well.
